Chef/Owner Tito Perez discovered his passion for cooking in his young college years back in El Salvador. In 1980 he fulfilled his dream to extend his carreer in the food industry. He spent the following ten years at Rio Grill (Carmel), Delfino's Ristorante (Monterey Plaza) and mainly at Flahertys in Carmel.
In 1991 he joined Maureen Signorella owner of Pasta Mia an Italian restaurant (Pacific Grove, CA) where he fell in love with the fine cooking of Italy. After spending the last fourteen years mastering Italian cuisine, Tito and his wife Sonia who also has twenty years of experience in customer service in the food industry , decided to take the next step and open their own restaurant which is now known as Frutti De Mar Grill in Marina, California. 
Tito's belief is to always use nothing but the freshest ingredients. He combines the delicacy of the North with the flair of the South of Italy. His light and delicate touch can be noticed in every single recipe that he prepares. His best known dishes are Cannelloni "made with veal, spinach, mozzarella cheese and served with basil cream sauce", Vegetarian Lasagna "delicately layered with bechamel, wild mushrooms and tomato sauce", Frutti De Mar Fettuccine Alfredo "shrimp, scallops and crab" or the famous Gnocchi 's and the Monterey Peninsula's best Sand Dabs.
